Biography

I am a board certified and fellowship trained vitreoretinal surgeon, and I specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of macular and vitreoretinal conditions like age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, retinal artery/vein occlusion, vitreous hemorrhage, macular pucker/epiretinal membrane and macular hole.

My research interests include studying the use of advanced retinal imaging, specifically optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography, in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of retinal diseases, and examining optimal surgical approaches to treat retinal detachments.

I am dedicated to delivering care that is compassionate and based on the most up to date advances in the field. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. We are grateful to be back in North Carolina and look forward to spending our free time hiking and exploring the beautiful mountains here.

I also provide services to those in North Wilkesboro, NC at Davis Ophthalmology
