Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist offers a 1-year, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists-accredited postgraduate year 1 (PGY1) residency that is designed to prepare residents for a future in innovative pharmacy practice:

The purpose of our PGY1 residency is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists who are responsible for the medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions and who are eligible for board certification and PGY2 pharmacy residency training. We strive to assist our residents in achieving their full potential as clinicians, educators and individuals. Seven positions are available for the 2024-2025 academic year.
