The residency is a full-time, one-year program. Our first cohort will begin on August 4, 2025. We offer two (2) residency slots annually, with one practicing in the Winston-Salem, NC metro area and the other in the Charlotte, NC, metro area. Patient care will include a minimum of 150 hours of 1:1 mentoring with an assigned faculty mentor.
Residency Components will include:
- Weekly didactic learning
- Weekly 4-hour mentoring time
- Ability to participate in multidisciplinary clinics
- Shared faculty and experiences with Atrium Health Occupational Therapy Fellowship Program
- Physical Therapy faculty includes six pediatric board-certified specialists
The program’s curriculum is developed from the most recent version of the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education’s Description of Residency Practice (DRP).
