Clyde Bristow, DNP, RN, CENP serves as Chief Nursing Officer – Network Hospital. Clyde joined Lexington Medical Center in March of 2011 as Director of Critical Care and Medical Surgical Nursing. In March of 2013, he was promoted to his current role and has responsibility for the division of Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Respiratory, and Physical Therapy.
Prior to joining Lexington Medical Center, Clyde was employed by Rowan Regional Medical Center in 2007 as Director of Critical Care. From 1989 to 2007 he worked at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Risk Management/Security, Emergency Department, and Cardiac Services. His path to executive leadership began as an assistant nurse manager of the coronary care unit and later nurse manager of the coronary care, telemetry, cardiac interventional and trauma units.
Clyde has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a focus in Executive Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He also completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Clyde is a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice by the American Organization for Nursing Leadership.
Clyde is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor of Society, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. He serves on several College Nursing Advisory Boards. His community affiliations include serving as Board Member on the Life Center in Davidson County and the North Carolina Piedmont Regionally Increasing Baccalaureate Program (RIBN).
