“I enjoy practicing in a subspecialty where we can really see people’s lives change for the better, especially regarding pain and quality of life that can drastically improve after treatment. I enjoy the relationships I build with patients, from non-operative interventions to their visits after total joint replacements.”
Joseph Baker is a board-certified physician assistant. He focuses on arthroplasty, including hip and knee pathology, non-operative management of arthritis pain, steroid and viscosupplementation knee injections, total joint-related pathology and hardware complication management.
He is fascinated by the vastness and complexity of diagnosing and managing joint-related pathologies and hardware complications.
Baker received his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Wake Forest University.
He enjoys spending time away from work with his family, especially when they watch NC State University athletics, where Baker was university mascot “Mr. Wuf” during his time in undergraduate school. Baker also likes to read and listen to audiobooks.
