Biography
I began my career with Wake Forest Baptist Health in February 2018 as a nurse practitioner on the Palliative Care team. My focus is on the needs of the critically ill and chronically ill inpatient population and their caregivers. My approach is holistic considering mind, body and spirit in determining symptom management needs, goals of care, and recommendations.
I am a Nurse Practitioner with board certification in Adult Gerontology Acute Care. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. I received my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. I hold an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse certification through the Hospice and Palliative Care Credentialing Center.
I am a preceptor for nurse practitioner and physician assistant students. I am involved in medical student, resident, and fellow education. I am a member of the Wake Forest Baptist Pain Committee, the PEC committee for the Hospice and Palliative Care fellowship and the Chaplaincy and Education Professional Advisory Group.
