Biography

“Our ability to communicate provides a basic foundation for connecting with the world. Hearing and understanding those around us are vital for sharing thoughts, conveying feelings and confidently navigating surroundings. I want to provide each patient with the personalized care and counseling needed to understand their hearing loss and improve their quality of life with professional, empathetic and evidence-based clinical care.”

Kendall Carroll is an audiologist who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). She is also a Certificate Holder in Tinnitus Management (CH-TM). She focuses on hearing loss, tinnitus, hearing aids and hearing conservation. She completes diagnostic testing for adults and pediatrics, and she has special interests in tinnitus management, hearing conservation and improving access to hearing health care.

Carroll sought a career that combined her goal of helping others with her interests in technology and problem solving. Audiology is a unique field that combines medicine, psychology, education and engineering, and it allows her to collaborate with many different interdisciplinary professionals.

She was named a Distinguished Early Career Professional by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Carroll received her bachelor’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis and her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) at Vanderbilt University. She completed her residency at the Harvard teaching hospital, Massachusetts Eye and Ear.

In her leisure time, Carroll loves to read historical fiction and mysteries, explore parks and trails with her dog, work on carpentry projects and travel. She also expresses her creative side with writing, crafting and graphic design.
