I am one of the two Palliative Care triage nurses. My role is to provide an integrative and multidisciplinary team approach to help patients maintain physical, mental, and emotional health. I take the time to understand the needs of each patient and family in order to provide a personalized interaction with the provider that you will be seeing in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. I can also assist with communication between provider visits to answer questions or determine the need for a visit to be scheduled.
I have a background in postpartum care, intermediate care nursery, home health, and hospice and palliative care. I was lead to pursue a career change towards palliative care after continuing to witness the long term positive effects palliative medicine had as a whole on the patients and families I interacted with.
I am certified as a hospice and palliative care nurse and a member of The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
