Biography

I amĀ board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and completed a fellowship in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine. I firmly believe in the interdisciplinary nature of wound care and seeks to provide holistic care for each wound care patient. Communication with different medical physicians is one of my priorities to ensure the best patient care, and I have the training to recognize when to involve other specialties in the care of a patient to facilitate wound healing. My strong background in family medicine allows me to recognize the health conditions, nutritional deficiencies, or medication side effects that can contribute to poor wound healing. I have a special interest in caring for and healing diabetic neuropathic foot wounds and am an active researcher in these areas.
