Biography

I am a dual board-certified physician in internal medicine and psychiatry specializing in the care of patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses. I believe that one’s medical illnesses affect one’s mental wellbeing and vice versa; as such, I am passionate about treating the body and mind simultaneously. I love getting to know my patients and take a compassionate, thorough, and attentive approach to my patients.

I attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill then completed a dual residency in Internal Medicine/Psychiatry at Tulane University School of Medicine. In my final year of training, I served as chief resident. I have previously worked in a variety of roles including resident/medical student education, consult/liaison psychiatry, outpatient medicine clinic, and outpatient psychiatry clinic.

My roles at Wake Forest Baptist Health include outpatient internal medicine and psychiatry clinics in addition to a role educating other providers on psychiatry topics. My clinical interests include eating disorders and the integration of medicine and psychiatry. I am involved nationally with the Association of Medicine and Psychiatry as co-chair of the medical student committee.
