“I enjoy seeing patients for comprehensive exams and urgent visits. But I have a specific interest in specialty contact lenses for patients with damaged or diseased corneas, or those with very high refractive errors. Having personally experienced the improvement in vision these lenses provide has allowed me to better understand how impactful they are in day-to-day life.”
Dr. Follansbee is a board-certified optometrist.
She received her bachelor’s degree in journalism at The University of Memphis (UofM) and worked in the journalism field before returning to UofM to complete prerequisites in optometry. She received her Doctor of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Follansbee and her fiancé love to spend time outdoors with their dogs Ivy, a Belgian Malinois, and Rye, a Dutch shepherd. They enjoy having friends over for Memphis-style barbecue, working in the yard and exercising in their home gym.
