Biography
“I love helping people on their cancer journeys from diagnosis to treatment. It’s likely one of the scariest times of their lives. I strive to help them find a cure when possible and find comfort when needed.”
Dr. Floyd is board certified in radiation oncology. He focuses on treatments for cancer.
He was drawn to radiation oncology as a specialty with advanced technology that continues to evolve. He values being able to provide more effective treatments than those that were available in the past.
Dr. Floyd is a clinical assistant professor of radiation oncology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He assists with patient enrollment in clinical trials taking place at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
Dr. Floyd received his medical degree at East Tennessee State University and completed residency in radiation oncology at Baylor College of Medicine.
He is married. Away from work, Dr. Floyd enjoys hiking and kayaking. He is also an accomplished guitar player who occasionally performs on stage.
