Biography

“I find the work I do as an interventional pulmonologist extremely rewarding. It allows me to diagnose cancers early and help people breathe easier.”

Dr. Christopher Ghiathi is board certified in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He specializes in interventional pulmonology with a focus on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures of the lungs. He cares for patients in outpatient settings and those who are hospitalized in intensive care units. Procedures he provides include bronchoscopic biopsies, endobronchial ultrasounds, placement of endobronchial valves, chest tube placement, removal of airway tumors and placement of airway stents.

He is an assistant professor of pulmonary, critical care, allergy and immunologic diseases at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Dr. Ghiathi received his medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, biking, hiking, gaming and college basketball.
