Biography
I am originally from Yonkers, NY just outside of NYC. After receiving a B.S. from Case Western Reserve University, I spent 3 years working at Memorial Sloan Kettering in a gene regulation lab doing basic science research. At this time I completed an M.S. in Biology from NYU and then went on to Georgetown University where I completed an M.S. in Physiology and Biophysics. I was mentored by an M.D./Ph.D. at Memorial Sloan Kettering who inspired me to purse a medical degree. I graduated from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and completed my Otolaryngology training at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai in Manhattan. I then went on to complete a Neurotology fellowship at House Clinic in Los Angeles.
I am currently the Director of the temporal bone lab for the residents and the current chair of the Resident and Fellow’s Research Day 2020. My clinical practice includes chronic ear conditions such as cholesteatomas, vestibular schwannomas, severe to profound hearing loss needing cochlear implantation, and other pathologies of the ear. My research interests include idiopathic intracranial hypertension and its role in tegmen defects of the skull base, cochlear implantation in the geriatric population and cholesteatoma proteomics.
