Jason Heggerick is a board-certified physician assistant. He focuses on orthopaedics. His clinical interests include hip and knee osteoarthritis, sprains and strains, avascular necrosis (loss of blood supply to an organ or tissue) and tendinitis.
He grew up playing numerous sports and sustained many orthopaedic injuries, which exposed him to orthopaedic medicine. He started his health career as a physical therapist and decided after 8 years to go back to school to further his general medicine knowledge as well as improve upon his knowledge of orthopedics.
Heggerick received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Wake Forest University.
Away from work, he enjoys participating in outdoor activities, especially hiking and bike riding, with his wife and children. He also loves coaching and watching his children play sports.
