Biography

“I am committed to supporting healthy workplaces. I strive to help employers and employees overcome injuries and health challenges at work. When employees are healthy and happy, everyone wins!”

Dr. Hunt is board certified in preventive and occupational medicine. She focuses on corporate health, workplace injuries and employment exams, including drug screenings, fire and police fitness for duty exams, OSHA-regulated employment and DOT exams.

Dr. Hunt is the associate specialty medical director of occupational medicine at Atrium Health.

Fresh out of residency, she took a job in her local hospital’s occupational health clinic. She fell in love with the challenging work of supporting safe and healthy workplaces. She finds joy in helping workers and employers.

She has earned a certified medical review officer credential from the Medical Review Officer Certification Council. She has been certified as a DOT examiner by the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.

Dr. Hunt received her medical degree at East Carolina University and a master’s degree in public health at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed residency at the University of Pennsylvania.

She is married with 3 children. She has dedicated her empty nest years to finding a solution for eradicating the fur left everywhere in her home by the family’s golden retriever.
