Renee Ultes Hines is a certified peer support specialist (CPSS), a certified professional recovery coach (CPRC) and a certified older adults peer specialist (COAPS).
She has a clinical interest in addiction medicine.
She spearheaded the creation and implementation of an annual system-wide mandatory Substance Use Sensitivity training for over 28,000 employees to reduce stigma among providers and enhance patient care.
In addition, Hines works alongside the Advocacy, Recovery, Compassion & Healing team (ARCH) to provide substance use training for new nurses. She has over 5 years of experience utilizing her expertise in addiction recovery in the hospital setting, in addition to supporting recovery focused groups on a volunteer basis.
Hines received her Associate of Applied Science in Human Services Technology with an emphasis in substance use.
