Biography

“My goal is to help people improve mobility and function, and alleviate pain.”

Dr. Gordon Kammire is board certified in orthopaedics.

He is the medical director at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Orthopaedics Lexington. He serves as chair of the Quality, Service and Safety Committee at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.

Conditions he treats include arthritis of the shoulder, hip and knee and carpal tunnel syndrome. He also treats rotator cuff tears and sports injuries.

Dr. Kammire became interested in pursuing orthopaedics after being treated for injuries by an orthopaedic surgeon.

He received his medical degree and completed residency in orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest University.

Away from work, Dr. Kammire enjoys hiking, fishing, scuba diving and traveling.
