“I have a passion for bringing specialized care to rural areas so patients can receive exceptional care without having to drive long distances. I truly enjoy my job and love helping patients feel better and gain a better quality of life.”
Emily Miller is a board-certified physician assistant who focuses on orthopaedics and sports medicine. Conditions she treats include sprains, strains, fractures, arthritis, tendinitis and rotator cuff tears. She provides casting and splinting, intra-articular injections and arthrocentesis (fluid removal from joints).
She previously worked as a medical assistant and her surgical experiences motivated Miller to enhance her skills with a higher level of training. She always strives to be the provider she would want to see herself as a patient.
Miller received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science at Appalachian State University. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant practice at Campbell University.
She is married with a growing and adventurous family. They love camping at the lake, hiking the Appalachian Trail, visiting Walt Disney World and grilling out. In quiet moments, Miller likes to read and crochet.
