I am a Registered Dietitian and I specialize in working with families on behavior changes with nutrition. I am not the food police and restrictive diets are not for me. Food is something to be enjoyed! I work as part of an interdisciplinary team with Brenner FIT® (Families in Training) and Metabolic Syndrome and Prevention Clinic. I received my BS in Foods and Nutrition at Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) and completed my dietetic internship and MS at North Carolina Central University. I am always on the hunt for new recipe ideas. I also love baking, especially with chocolate or strawberries, and enjoy anything I can do outdoors with my husband and two children.
