Biography
I have been with Brenner Children's Hospital since 2013, starting as a pediatric critical care nurse before joining the pediatric orthopedic team in 2015. After completing my graduate studies, I remained with our team to develop a unique role as a pediatric nurse practitioner. My practice encompasses all aspects of pediatric orthopedic care including outpatient, surgical and inpatient care of patients from birth into young adulthood. This is supported through the use of patient and family centered care models and active engagement in professional development.
In addition to evaluating and treating a wide variety of pediatric musculoskeletal conditions, I serve as the lead provider for our pediatric amputee clinic. I have a special interest in complex congenital limb deformities and work closely with our team of pediatric orthopedic surgeons in the evaluation and management of these conditions.
Working in conjunction with a variety of specialty departments I have created two specialty clinics for medically complex children. Our pediatric health optimization clinic ensures that patients are medically prepared for complex orthopedic surgeries to reduce risk and improve recovery. Additionally, I have partnered with pediatric endocrinology to offer a pediatric bone health clinic to assess and treat bone fragility in the young child.
