Biography

Dr. Anastasios Papadonikolakis is board certified in orthopaedic surgery. He specializes in treating conditions that affect the shoulder, elbow and hand.
In addition to his clinical practice, he is inspired by the intellectual challenges of surgical innovation, research and teaching. He speaks French and Greek.
He is an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. His research focuses on the clinical outcomes of upper extremity surgery.
Dr. Papadonikolakis received his medical degree at the University of Ioannina in Ioannina, Greece. He completed residency in general surgery and a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest University. He completed a shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship at the University of Washington.
Outside of work, Dr. Papadonikolakis enjoys mountain biking, painting and spending time with family and friends.
