Carolyn Jean Park, MD

Dr. Carolyn Park is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. She treats heart and circulatory conditions, including cardiomyopathy (heart enlargement) and heart valve disease. She specializes in advanced cardiac imaging, including cardiac MRI and cardiac CT to help diagnose cardiac and aortoiliac (large vessel) diseases and to guide planning for surgeries and procedures.

Dr. Park is an assistant professor of cardiology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

She was studying biomedical engineering in college when she became fascinated by the opportunity to apply her skills to the practice of medicine.

She received her medical degree at Drexel University. She completed residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and a fellowship in cardiology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She completed further training in advanced cardiac imaging at Wake Forest University and Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute.

In her free time, she enjoys playing jazz and classical piano and exploring Winston-Salem, NC.
