Biography

“There is nothing greater than watching a patient go from debilitating pain and limitations to pain-free and with an active and happy lifestyle. Seeing a grandparent play with their grandchild, go for a hike or just get their mail without pain are examples of my goals and commitments to the community I serve.”

Dr. Jared Pate is board certified in orthopaedic surgery. Conditions he treats include hip and knee osteoarthritis, joint pain, avascular necrosis (loss of blood flow to the bone) and trauma and fractures to the ankles, hips and periprosthetics (areas around replacements). He performs hip and knee replacements and revisions.

Growing up with an active lifestyle in Hawaii, he suffered a shoulder injury in college. The experience motivated him to change lives by helping others return to the things they love to do.

Dr. Pate is an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery and the co-director of medical students at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

He received his medical degree at the University of Hawaii. He completed residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and a joint replacement fellowship at The CORE Institute.

Dr. Pate is married with 2 children. In his time away from work, he enjoys biking on trails, going to the lake or just spending time outdoors with his family.
