Biography

I am board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, specializing in gall bladder disease, hernia repair, colonoscopy, colorectal and anal disorders, thyroid and parathyroid diseases. I completed a clinical endoscopy fellowship, at Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School. I have former experiences as a U.S. Army Reserves Medical Corp commissioned officer and a volunteer mission surgeon. Currently, I am a clinical instructor of Wake Forest Baptist surgical residents and serve on hospital quality and credentialing committees. I am passionate about providing patient-centered care for the people of the North Carolina. My research interests include colorectal cancer screening. In my spare time I enjoy traveling and tennis.
