Biography

I am a board certified general surgeon with additional fellowship training in endocrine surgery. I attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston and completed my general surgery residency at Wake Forest University in 2015. I also received advanced training in endocrine surgery at the University of Wisconsin. I returned to join the faculty of Wake Forest Baptist Health in 2019 and specialize in treating benign and malignant diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. I employ multiple operative techniques to enhance patient outcomes, including minimally invasive parathyroidectomy and laparoscopic and retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy. My research interests include improving the quality and efficiency of endocrine surgery, and improving the safety of surgical training. I am a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, the American Thyroid Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the Association for Academic Surgery.
