Biography

“I am fascinated by human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and how the body moves and works. I provide treatments when things go awry.”

Aaron Wooten is a board-certified physician assistant who holds a doctoral degree. He specializes in orthopaedics and sports medicine. He treats injuries to the shoulders, hips, knees, ankles and soft tissues. He also practices pediatric sports medicine and performing arts medicine. Additionally, he holds a certificate of added qualification in orthopaedic surgery.

He is motivated by the opportunities to work with people, provide a service to the community and practice a combination of hands-on care and science.

Wooten received his undergraduate degree in exercise science at Appalachian State University and his Master of Medical Science (MMS) in physician assistant studies at Wake Forest University. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at East Carolina University.

He is married with 2 sons. Outside of work, Wooten enjoys working out, biking and attending his children’s athletic games and practices.
