Growing up in Winston-Salem, I have always dreamed of working for Wake Forest Baptist. The moment I met my RPD, my dream was enhanced that much more. I have also envisioned being in a place where authenticity is welcomed in all its facets, and the Population Health Managment & Data Analytics program exemplifies this and much more. The plethora of rotations and professional development opportunities also drew me to this program. I also really value that the team holistically views patient care and considers social determinants of health and how this can influence outcomes. This truly aligns with my passion for patient advocacy and health equity. Meanwhile, the preceptors and teammates in the program have been exceptionally kind and generous. I am so grateful to be back in my hometown and the opportunity to be of service to patients where I call home.

After my incredibly positive experience as a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, I knew the residency programs here provide a challenging yet supportive environment capable of fostering my professional and personal growth. During my PGY1 rotations, I had the privilege of working alongside the Population Health team, whose commitment to utilizing innovative pharmacy services to enhance patient care on a system-wide scale left a lasting impression on me. Since my early commit experience and the start of this residency program, I have consistently felt the team's passion and dedication to patient care, to each other, and to me. The RPD and preceptors always prioritize my learning and strive to ensure I achieve my individual goals. I am incredibly grateful to continue my training as a PGY2 Population Health Management and Data Analytics Pharmacy Resident and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead!

Why Wake Forest?
I was drawn to Wake Forest Baptist and this PGY2 pharmacy residency program because of the innovative pharmacy services, unique learning experiences in data analytics and management, and the opportunity to work with the incredible members of the population health team. From my first interaction with the team I felt welcomed and could sense the deep commitment each team member has for taking care of patients and each other. I have loved every moment of residency thus far – from being challenged to learn new skills in analytics, applying my clinical knowledge in meaningful patient interactions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to improve care for all. I know that I made a great decision to further my training and education at Wake Forest Baptist.
