Biography
“I got into the field of podiatry because of my interest in diabetes and its connection to feet. I want to provide as much education and care to ensure we prevent diabetic foot infections leading to amputations. My goal is to save limbs and save lives.”
Dr. Kristin Kirby is a board-certified podiatric surgeon. She has clinical interests in podiatry, foot and ankle conditions and orthopaedics.
Conditions and disorders she treats include plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, ingrown toenails, foot fractures, osteoarthritis of the foot, Haglund’s deformities, hammertoes, bunions, plantar warts, toenail fungus, metatarsalgia, neuromas, foot skin lesions, peroneal tendon disorders and Achilles tendon disorders.
Dr. Kirby is a clinical adjunct faculty member in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at Barry University and completed residency at Heritage Valley Health System.
